New Low

Ladies and Gents, I've hit a new low.

145.8

Is what I saw on the scale today.  What the hell happened you ask?  Well most recently I ran into a terrible sickness that lasted over a week.  Remember my post about my red face?  It got worse, much worse.  My face continued to swell up, get redder as a rash spread to my upper torso.  I was then bed-ridden for the next 3 days.  It was my cousin's spring break, and I barely got to see them!  When my relatives saw me, they thought I was going to die.  So naturally, they wrote me up a bucket list :)

1.  Done
2.  pending
3.  I did once! but I swear that demon dog still hates me.  Makes me sad that it keeps barking at me, makes me miss Bear.
4.  Do it all the time
5.  that's a good one, I'll work on this one! who's with me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PY7iWPxF1s&NR=1
6.  ...what?
7. hmm.. seems easy enough, but not fulfilling enough for a bucket list
8.  done
9.  yea.. i really should do that.  Maybe as a metaphor for life: get rid of garbage
10.  CMON TOPANGA, shawn hair flip, cory 'hair flip', "that farmhouse, there", Angela, the Wilson half face joke, Feeny... that's 7, help me finish guys?

Motivation by Humiliation Results

Alex specifically asked me not to reveal the fate of my eyebrows to him, so please don't ruin the fun.

Sooo 4 more minutes until the August 1st deadline ends (by the time i post this, it will be long past).  And I just finished testing myself an hour ago to see if I made my goal.

Dylan already made his weight by flying colors this past Monday at a very impressive 158.9 lbs!  How did he do it?  He ran 10 miles twice (TWICE, once in the morning, once in the evening) before he took a vid of him on the scale.  The most I ran was 3 miles, i gotta give it up to him for his dedication and sheer willpower.

Me on the other hand..

click on the pic for to reveal my fate....are you nervous? ...cus im nervous

btw, the 'stache is for a Burt Reynolds Challenge on August 7.  I am certainly not going to win, but I gotta tell ya, having a 'stache when everyone has a 'stache is straight up fun.

Motivation by Humiliation

So I was just kickin' it with my cousin Dylan one day, you know driving around having the same old "let's get back into shape" conversation we've had many, many times before.  The main problem with trying to get into shape is staying motivated.  Last time we scheduled a fight against each other as motivation.  This time, we're going another route.  Instead of our pride on the line, it's humiliation.

Deadline: August 1, 2010

His goal: Lose weight
How much? ~ 8 lbs.  He has to weigh 160.7lbs or less during weigh-in, wearing nothing but boxers.
What's on the line?:  If he weighs 160.8lbs or more, he's going to have to shave one leg and leave the other leg unshaven for 1 month.  Doesn't sound humiliating right? Well his reasoning is that, he plays basketball almost everyday, and he'll definitely get heckled on the courts looking like this:
yes he's that hairy.

My Goal: Perform 60 clean, steady paced pushups (not pounding them like a jackhammer).  Perform 15 clean pullups with no jerking or swinging.
How Much?: 60 Pushups, 15 Pullups
What's on the line?: haha i feel like the sucker of this deal.  If I can't reach my goal by August, *sigh*.  I will have to shave half of each of my eyebrows.  That's right.  But what's motivation without extreme humiliation right??  K, readers: in case of my failure please choose my fate

So.... which one will get the ladies?

hahaha oh man. I feel like working out now. SO BAD

Goals in Brief

It's been awhile! Half because of all these goals.  I gotta learn how to pace myself.  I was tackling them down full speed the first week, and I got burnt out.  The other half is Call of Duty again, I starting using the sniper rifle and I got unhealthily hooked.

Here's my first installment of Goals in Briefs:

1.  Cantonese/Mandarin Fluency:  My mom was so excited that I was doing this that she bought me this!  The 跑跑高 E-900.  Thanks mom! This gives me extra motivation to keep up with this goal.  The writing translator function is what I really need.  I've been reading, writing (typing), watching, and speaking Chinese almost everyday now.  My uncle helped me hook up the Direct TV and I now have TVB! Haha, I never had that stuff as a kid, so now I'm catching up.  I will 加油 and 努力进步。

2.  Juggling:  I was thinking first that I'll be able to scratch this one off my list first, but the balls aren't falling my way.  So hard! So far the best I've done was 5 catches.  3 pairs of socks are no longer in my wearing circulation :P

3.  Violin:  Working on Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto all 3 movements.  I've been off and on playing this for yeaaars now and I'm going to buckle down and learn it!  Problem is, with all these goals, I'm finding less and less time to practice.  Or maybe it's the video games.  damn video games.

4.  Free Throws:  I'm seeing big improvements in this.  I'm actually expanding this to basketball in general.  My free throw drill right now is to make 5 in a row before I can leave.  Haha, the first time I tried it, I started at 8PM and didn't leave till it was 8:40PM and it was almost pitch black.  So many 4 in a rows!!!  and then I cracked under pressure.  I felt like one of those kids in those movies who has a dream of being in the NBA.  The only thing is I'm 23, not 12.  I shot again today,  and it only took me 5 minutes to get 5 in a row.  woohoo .

5.  Write Left-Handed:  This one's kind of fun!  I was talking to Angel and she said she wants to learn too, so we're now Left hand Pen Pals.  It's pretty ghetto how we do it.  It's a form of snailmail and E-mail.  or... E-Snail?   chicken scratch on paper, take a pic, and send through email.  Anyone else want to be left hand pen pals with me?

6.  Pullups:  meh, i'll get around to this soon.  Doing pushups with Kenneth for now.

7.  Swimming:  Last week I swam 1/2 mile.  I was so determined going in, and when I came out I almost passed out haha.  It was 18 laps and my leg cramped the last 3 laps.  I think I'll be able to do a mile soon, but my main problem is I'm helllla slow.  I shared a lane with this overweight dude thinking, meh no pressure, nice and easy.  The dude was passing me every other lap! man the guy was blazing and he didn't look like he was trying!  damn.  I found out from this cat that I was kicking all wrong.  I was bending my knees and now that I'm relearning how to swim with my legs completely straight, I get tired in one lap.  Bummer.

8.  Reading:  I picked up some books at the local library!
  • Catch-22: Read the 1st 2 chapters and it's ironic as hell.  Nice!  I'm liking it so far
  • The Art of War by Sun Tzu:  Heard good things about it concerning strategy.  Recommended reading for managers and business peoples, something that I'm not very keen in.  Interesting, but kind of textbooky.
  • Rich Dad Poor Dad: college roommate told me about it.  Read the intro, sounds pretty interesting.  I think I'll like it because it's about money but is also written so that I won't fall asleep.
  • Freakonomics:  (on the cover) "a rogue economist explores the hidden side of everything" and with chapters such as: What Do Schoolteachers and Sumo Wrestlers have in common? and Why do Drug Dealers Still Live with their Moms?  heh Haven't gotten to this one yet.  But looks promising!

Yea this post is pretty long, but I gotta do it so that I stick to my goals.

Toodle-oo!

Me 2.0 beta

I've actually been thinking about this for a few days now.  I've noticed recently that I'm in a rut, I'm plateauing, starting to coast.  What do I mean by this?  I mean that I'm not really improving anymore since I've graduated from college.  You guys remember that huge "sigh" of relief, "Yay! no more school, no more books!"?  Now that I've been out of school for a while, I've become stagnant and I'm starting to hate it.  Here's what I noticed:

  • My mind started feeling slow.  My little brother Wiltr0n kicks my ass in solving the Rubiks cube now.
  • I started misspelling words.  I used to be great at spelling! (Nod to my spelling brutha Hen)
  • I struggled with words when I was explaining things.  "uhh... what was that word again?... oh yea, potato"
  • I forgot a LOT of important engineering things.  My co-worker used to ask me mechanical questions involving basic laws and theory and I would have to dig so long and deep just to be wrong.  Please tear my diploma in half, thank you.
At first glance, I'd say I was drinking and partying too much and killing brain cells.  But then I thought about it, and I knew it was because I wasn't challenging myself anymore.  I had the mindset of coasting after college, and it is totally not working.  I don't want to be the guy that USED to be good at certain things.  I want to keep being good at the things I'm good at and beyond! a Me 2.0.    I've been coming up with a few challenges/goals to keep me challenged and goaled.

Me 2.0 Challenges:
  1. Become fluent in Cantonese/Mandarin:  Now I know what you're thinking.. "Over-ambitious!" "won't last a month!" "buffoon!" (see, I just spelled it baffoon thx spell check).  I think I have a good foundation from high school, and there's plenty of non-Asian guys that become fluent in a few years like this man. or this guy:

    How?:
Write a Chinese e-mail a few times a week to my parents and relatives (this is a double win!).  Watch a Chinese movie every week.  Start watching a TV series.  Spend some time every day reading news headlines (using FireFox's translater plugin)
  2. Learn how to Juggle:  Why?  Always wanted to learn, and supposedly helps your brain
    http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/10/091016114055.htm
  3. Grade 8 Violin: I love playing the violin, but I haven't pushed myself to progress after college.  I've neglected it for a while, but I've been playing again recently and it's like meditation for me.  Haha, I've taken the exam before for Grade 2 back when I was a kid.  I want to be good enough to pass the Grade 8 exam!  I want to do this so that I'll be more qualified to teach.
How?: I'm going to keep up with Wiltr0n's progress for a while, then start learning songs off of the Royal School of Music Syllabus
  4. 75% Free Throws:  Why? same with Juggling.  My hand-eye coordination is pretty horrible and I want to work at it.  If some preacher can shoot 2,000 in a row.  I'm pretty sure I can get up to 75%.
  5. Write Left-Handed: Just in case I lose my right hand haha.  :)  Or so that I can be awesome like Demetri Martin
  6. Do 20 pullups:  I've had this goal for so long! I went up to 15! but now I'm at 10 again. -_-
  7. Swim 1 Mile:  For health and to work on my willpower (my biggest flaw).
  8. Ongoing Study:  Review Math, Engineering.  Read about Investments, Real Estate.  Keep up with current Events.  Internet makes this a cinch!
Wow that's long.  Sorry for the long post, this one's for myself.  I'm going to do this!  I'm serious.  I'm printing this list right now (minus the Iranian dude).  Me 2.0 here I come.

Life is like a box of chocolates

You never know what you're gonna get.  Or where you're going to wind up.

Yea I was gonna do a New Years post about the great times of 2009, but its 4AM now and I won't do 2009 justice if I try to power through.  So this will be an announcement of sorts of the huge change in 2010 that I'm going through.  It's kind of a new chapter in life.

My uncle has asked me to help out on his new design project and business venture.  Pretty exciting!  But the thing is, I'll be spending most of my time in Portland.  Wow, I've been in the Bay Area my whole life so this will be a complete lifestyle change.  All of my closest friends are here in the city, and it's going to be tough being away from everybody.

But I've made my decision.  This project we're doing is something I'mvery interested in.  It involves implementing green technology and will really help the environment. (I'm not gonna post the details online, but you can ask me in the real world!) It's going to take a lot of hard work and dedication because it will certainly be challenging.  I'm going to be able to do a lot of engineering design which is what I really like doing.  So I guess this is somewhat of a calling.

I've been telling people little by little, and I'm happy all my friends have been supportive.  There's some suggestions of a going away party, but I really don't want that.  Those things are way too emotional.  For these two weeks in SF, I'd just wanna hang out with my friends and chill.  Portland's not far away, and I'll definitely be back a few times every year.  But I'm gonna miss everybody and the fun of the citay by the bay.

    From: San Francisco

    To: Portland

2009 was all play and pretty much no work :P heh

2010 will be my productive year!  It's time to make something of myself.

    Goooooodnight!

    Kohl's and Parking Ticket

Yesterday I went out to Kohl's with Andrew and Andy and I overhear some kid whining as I was walking through the aisle.  As I walk closer...

    kid:  wahhhh wahhh wahh
    mom: stop that
    kid: wahh wahhh
    mom: stop that!
kid: wahh wahhh (i'm thinking stupid annoying kid)
mom: stop that shit! or i'll f*k you up!

oh my.  I was just flabbergasted, looking around to see if anyone else heard it.  I wanted to laugh but was kinda concerned for the kid. haha man crazy parenting.

    Dodging a $150 bullet
At Kohl's I get a call from my brother: "Chad, mom's trying to move your car" What?? my mom doesn't drive stick.  bro: "yea some dpt guy is trying to ticket your car" (this is at like 8PM) I was like shit, no one in my house knows how to drive stick.  My mom panicks and rings the neighbor's door and he helps us move the car.  saved!

Apparently the DPT guy was being a dick too.  How the heck you gonna ticket me for "blocking the sidewalk".  There's enough room behind my small car for 3 wheelchairs side by side!! (ok maybe 2.5 as some people said).  My mom even asks if it's okay because the car is small, he takes a glance and makes some bs, "it's 2 inches too long."  He was watching my mom trying to move the car and hoping he would leave but he starts yelling :"if you don't move it in 15 seconds, i'm ticketing you for 150 bucks" What a cock.  But I bet it's some stupid neighbor that keeps calling these in.  We barely have had complaints for the 20+ years we've lived here, but recently our block has been getting a lot more of these citations.  What's the real law on this?

New Goal: teach mama to drive stick (she wants to learn)

    UCD Career Fair

Wow so refreshing to have some dialog with engineering companies!  Been feeling so alone and left out from the engineering world.  I'm glad I made it to the UCD career fair, even though it's far away.  Everytime I tell someone I was going to Davis for a career fair, they're like wow so far!  It's always great being in Davis for me, I mean it's so peaceful and calm there, and everything is walking distance.  The career fair was really helpful in terms of re-learning how to talk the interview talk.  The first 2 companies, I was nervous as hell, stuttering stanley and everything.  But I warmed up, and by the end of the day I had talked to about 20 companies.  It's still discouraging because most of the companies were there just for show.  There were only about 3 that were reaally hiring.

I spoke to my old college recruiter Nicole from PG&E and 2 years ago, they were hiring like 50 engineers, last year 26.  This year? a big FAT zero.  ugh.  But it was cool seeing my fellow engineering buddies there, we're all hurting bad right now.  One dude got laid off as well! but he got married and he has to live with his parents with his wife now.  It's bad out there.  There was also this other guy that was complaining to the Boeing guy about how he never gets a call back from anybody.  This guy was so distressed it was like he was having an emotional breakdown.  Just kept on asking why why why?! It wasn't pretty.

I am so ready to work! hire me please, I'll make you rich!

    Meteor Shower

Just came back from trying to see a Meteor Shower tonight with Andy.  The last time we tried to see one, it was foggy as hell and we couldn't see anything.  Tonight was a lot clearer, we went up to Land's End and could actually see a bunch of stars.  We were out there for almost an hour and I didn't see shit!  Andy saw two trails; the sky must hate me.  As I was laying there I heard a "seagull" noise, but.. seagulls don't come out at night right? Must have been something (or someone?) else haha.  Anyways, we were about to leave... and suddenly! I see a burst of light flying across the sky! ...It was Andy flicking his cigarette.

    Next time, sky.. next time.

    Science Time:
So we were wondering if there was a difference between meteor showers and a falling star.  Turns out, they're the same.  Falling stars aren't stars.  They're caused by cosmic debris or rocks (meteoroid) entering the earth's atmosphere and burning up.  Cool.

    Sunnyvale and Warriors

Today, I went down to the NOVA center in Sunnyvale to try to enroll in this Project Management certification program that my cousin told me about.  Apparently, his buddy got laid off not so long ago and went to NOVA for this project management training program which is totally government subsidized. It'll be sweet to get certified for zero money, because I checked out SF State's similar program and it was like 500 bucks a course.  It's usually night and online courses, so during the day he just sits home and plays online poker and makes enough for his $1200 rent!  He also gets to collect unemployment insurance at the same time!  Anyways I'm trying to see if I can enroll in this program too, so I can get a leg up on my management qualifications while I have the free time.   So far it doesn't seem very fruitful, because the place just seems like some job search help center.  Cousin told me it's because they need people to sign up for the job search service to increase their funding for that center.  So they make people jump through hoops to get to the good stuff.  I'll probably go through the process for a week or two and see if it's legit.

    Warriors!
I just came back from a Warriors game and they demolished the Timberwolves.  But, I knew they had to win for sure since the wolves suck ballz.  So, I dropped Azubuike from my fantasy league because he wasn't getting consistent minutes like two days ago.  and today, he decides to score 31 points!  Every single shot he made was like a dagger to my heart.  I was so conflicted sitting next to Henry in his Azubuike jersey! I didn't have the heart to tell him I dropped his main man during the 1st quarter.  But I eventually had to tell him, because I had to unload my guilty conscience haha.

Fitness Fun, Fight Quest and The Fight

K, this one's going to be all about fighting, because I just came back from Gary's house and we were messing around on the Boxing gear that I got from a few posts back.  I'm glad that everyone that I showed them to were really into it, and I'm sure they'll get a lot of use.  Heck Andy, Henry and I were boxing buzzed after we left Supper Club haha, it was funny.  The first thing that comes out of everyone's mouth (including me) was "wow this feels great!"  Haha, I'm sure everyone has wanted to punch something sometime in their life, and it does feel great to let it all out without any consequences of injury.  and the cardio is a nice side effect :)

    Fight Quest

I just finished all the episodes (13) of Fight Quest, a show that was on the Discovery Channel.  I don't know why it got canceled, but it's a great show.  The season follows two guys: Doug (Iraq Veteran) and Jimmy (former math teacher and MMA fighter) across the whole world trying their hands in different martial arts.  They pretty much get a 5 day crash course where Masters train the hell out of them, and they end each episode duking it out with a native fighter.  It is really fascinating to learn about all the unique technical and cultural differences between each fighting style.  What I like best is that these guys have such humble attitudes and aren't out to "show up" other styles in their native settings.  They really put their hearts into learning each art, and have a never-give-up attitude.  The fighting is so raw and educational at the same time!  My favorite styles from the show are Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wing Chun, Kajukenbo, and Hapkido.  If you're into MMA, I would definitely recommend this series.

    The Fight
So the fight is coming up soon during Christmas between me and Dillon.  I don't really care right now what the outcome is, but I'm really happy about the lead up to the fight.  This is because I have never worked out so consistently in my life.  It's always been 2-4 weeks on, 1-2 months off (repeat).  I want to have a fight to look forward to maybe like twice a year haha.  I talked about hundredpushups, twentypullups before, and I'm actually sticking to the 6 week program! Sure it's taken me like 10 weeks to get to week 6, but I'm there now!  I haven't tried maxing out my pushups, but I made my personal best in pullups a couple days ago.. 17! I was stuck at 12 for the longest time, and I really wanted to get up to 20 (so I can get a free Marine's T-shirt at one of their booths haha... maybe when that happens there will be another blog contest for the t-shirt?)  But yea, I feel really good right now and I think by Christmas I should be in the best shape of my life!

    WTB: Boxing Gloves and Pads

That kid is crazy.  But he's not the main point of this post.  I want a set of gloves and pads! This weekend, I was hanging out at my cousin Dillon's apartment and he shows me his room mate's set of gloves and pads.  Apparently his roomie practices Wing Chun, and taught Dillon how to do some drills.  Man seeing those gloves just brought back fondish memories of when my friends and I boxed in highschool.

    Ouch.

Anyways, Dillon had me do some drills of Jab-Hook-Uppercut and it was great! I was really slow and uncoordinated, but punching things just feels good. Definitely a good stress reliever. pop-pop POW pop-pop POW! After 2 sets of drills, I was spent. It's one of the funnest cardio I've done, and now my back and arm muscles are sore. I'm itching to snag a set and do this with my buddies.

Cardio + De-Stress + Muskles! = Let's get it on, DING DING DING!

    Michael Jackson Video Game?!?!

I wasn't gonna blog this until I wake up, but what the hell.  I got trashed today playing Tower and Kings Cup and I just don't want to sleep yet.  I don't wanna fall asleep with a throbbing headache, and I want to talk about my video games!

So the day I got to Eugene David's roommate Simon shows me his modded X-BOX loaded up with pretty much ALL THE GAMES in the world ever made! (NES, SNES, GENESIS, ATARI, MAME (arcade), XBOX, N64) Ok, maybe not all the games, but it's pretty sweet.  I was planning to just KO once I got there, but this was just too awesome.  I need something like this soon, imagine playing the following games, without getting up to change the cartridge or powering up another console.

    1. Sunset Riders
    2. Tetris Attack  (my favorite game of all time)
    3. Mario Kart 64
    4a. Goldeneye
    4b. Perfect Dark
    5. Halo 2
    6. Michael Jackson's Moonwalker (?????)

Wow that last game was the most ridiculous yet fun game I've played.  Haha so you play as Michael Jackson, killing bad guys.  And Michael Jackson has "The Force" (the lightning thing that comes out of your hands in Star Wars).  Powerups? A monkey shows up, and when you go up to it, you transform into a robot Michael that shoots lasers?!!?   And the most hilarious and mind-boggling part is the end when you win.  Michael morphs into a jet airplane and flies away?! WHAT!?  Oh yea, his special move is him pulling off moves from Billie Jean, Thriller, or Smooth Criminal, and everythign on the screen just dies lol.  The best part of the game in my opinion is the music.  Beat it, Smooth Criminal, Billie Jean, BAD, Thriller.  awesome.

Enjoy, and crave this game :)

+ That IS300 (Brian?) after the Oregon Border.  He creeps up behind me really fast and passes me, and I got this sudden urge to keep up with him.  Right then, it was the mountain twisties and man it was fun.  Put a smile on my face!
+ Making it to Eugene from Davis on 1 tank of gas! I swear it was on the brink of empty.  When I reached the gas station, it said estimated 1 mile left O_O.
+ Getting to David's apartment at 2:30AM at the tail end of a college drinkfest, and staying up playing video games until 5 o clock! (DIY, Video Games, blog post coming soon)

    Fight Night: The Crack 12/2X/2009

The Crack.  It decides life or death, devastation or glory.  To me, it conjures memories of the utmost fear.  Fear that you've taken your least breath.  Fear that you may never see anything other than bedsheets smothering your face.  It's the closest to death that I've ever come to.

Haha this is another one of my Goals posts, and the thing that drives this goal is pretty much pride.  You see, my cousin and I have been wrestling since before we learned how to walk

haha my head is HUGE, oh... how I used to push him around

    poke poke

But for some reason, for the last year or two, Dillon has become much more powerful than me.  I mean, suree.. maybe he's always been stronger and more athletic, but now It's not even a contest anymore.  Maybe its from the subconscious pent up rage from when we were kids...

This time around, our wrestling came about because of a practical joke.  As in I personally RickRolled the fool on his voicemail mwahahahha.  He was so slighted that he threatened to put me into The Crack.  Now with us, issuing a challenge like that is no laughing matter, it's the threat that ends all threats.  So I did not take it lightly, I said.. bring it on!!!

    SPARTAAAA

What followed was him methodically placing each of my limbs in to this so called "The Crack".  Sure I had him in a headlock or two, but there was not one moment where I had a remote chance of escaping certain death.  Now this crack is so tight, that it slightly compresses your ribcage as you fall through.  You can't take full breaths, because there's not enough space for your lungs (yeeesh!).  The emotions I went through were: cockiness (i was taunting him), sudden fear (as i neared The Crack), sheer panic (when i lost 1 arm to the fateful fissure), reflection on my life (as I fell through), and finally humilidepression.  Thats right, humilidepression.

I had it so bad, I started making excuses (Stage 1: denial) about how he's 15 pounds heavier than me (ok maybe more like 10).  So naturally I challenge him to this rematch.  Come Christmas break, we will meet again at The Crack to find out who really cherishes life more.  For now, we'll both be training rigorously so that we can both be at the best shape of our lives.  Target Weight? 160lbs.

I've tried these but never finished it, but now I'm running on a different fuel.  What kind of fuel is this? That's right Leonides, Glory!!

    Goal: 2 Songs to Learn

Once in a while I get inspired to learn a song. Actually it happens a lot, but I rarely follow it through, so I'm gonna make these my goal so I actually do it.

1st song!: Flight of the Bumblebee

This is a great violin piece, and I wanna learn it. Who cares if its insanely hard, who cares if it'll take me years, I needa learn it! Here's world record holder David Garett playing it:

Heres some reasons I wanna do it:
    1. I've lost my finger speed, and want to get it back
    2. I have horrible spiccato, and this is pretty much all spiccato. (Wiltron needs to work on his spiccato too!)
    3. It's short!

    2nd Song: Piano Man
Okay, I may be cheating cus I've started learning this maybe a month or 2 ago, but I haven't learned it all yet. I got inspired by Andy to play this song, and I was like hey! why dont I learn the piano, and you learn the harmonica part! Dude learns it in like 2 hours. He's still waiting on me (yeeeesh).. maybe ill have it by christmas? haha

Billy Joel Ladies and Gentlemen (don't mind the mustache):

I'm maybe 70% done agghh. I always learn about that much of piano songs cus they make the endings so damn hard. I'm a pianoob.

    Goal: 3 a day

k, it's been nearly 4 months of unemployment, and honestly I've lost steam in the jobsearch. But I really want to go out there and continue challenging myself in engineering because I'm feeling so unfulfilled. (There's no place room for feelings here!)

So, my new goal is 3 job applications a day. And if there really isn't any left, I'll do at least 1 hour of self-study and CAD practice for that day.

I'll update in like 2 weeks or something. Wish me luck!

Update 9/23: hahahahhahaha 3 is way too ridiculous, it just makes me angry and discouraged.  So I'm dropping it down to 1 a day heh

    the goal

my goal is to be able to do some handstand pushups, i know its damned hard, but i figure its a good way for me to stay in shape. No more gym, I always get lazy about going to the gym. BUT if its handstands, i could do them anywhere. when im studying, at home home, YOUR home, in the shower.. etc.

I wanted to type more but I got nothin to say!
